Remembrance Day at Surfers RSL
11th November marks the 99th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18). Each year on this day Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11.00am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
The Remembrance Day Service in Surfers Paradise this year will be held at the Cenotaph in Cavill Park, Cavill Ave, behind the Surfers Paradise RSL. Gather at 10:45am for the memorial and wreath laying service at 11:00am.
Members of the public are invited to attend and the Surfers RSL will be open for refreshments. Memorabilia will also be available for sale.
